Job Description

Enterprise Architect

Position Description
The Electronic Procurement System (ePS) implementation project will provide a web based acquisition contract writing system to US Navy commands worldwide and be deployed to some 8,000 users.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Enterprise Architect (EA) with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) experience to join our growing team in Arlington, VA. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment bringing advanced business information systems to support the warfighter mission. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment and are seeking a candidate who has proven leadership and PM skills, the ability to think critically, problem-solve, and influence others to achieve desired results for the project.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Work with stakeholders (leadership and subject matter experts) to build a holistic view of the solution’s strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets by developing and maintaining an integrated set of artifacts. The role of the enterprise architect is to ensure that the enterprise and it's architecture are in alignment. The enterprise architect links the business mission, strategy, and processes of an organization to its IT strategy, and documents this using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner. Host artifacts in an architecture repository.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
The candidate should have experience in the following:

• DoD major acquisition system experience
• Understanding the overarching connections among requirements, business processes, activities, system functions, and interfaces with partner systems
• Ability to take direction from EA lead, work independently, and be self-motivated
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to work well with others and function in a high-performance team environment
• Experience creating data models (conceptual, logical, and physical data models) and/or data modeling tools, such as System Architect or ERwin would be a huge plus

Required Knowledge and Skill Sets

• We anticipate that the successful candidates will have at least 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture
• Should be considered proficient in DODAF
• Knowledge of EA concepts, methodologies, techniques, and frameworks, such as DoDAF, FEAF, TOGAF, or Zachman
• Experience with modeling techniques, such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) 2.0, and Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
• Experience with EA modeling tools, System Architect, ARIS, MagicDraw, Sparx, MEGA, or similar tools
