The Cloud Strategist builds relationships at client CxO and Director level to rapidly develop Trusted-Advisor status, delivering High-end IT and Cloud Strategy-focused consulting, helping clients develop their Roadmap for adoption. As a Cloud Strategist you may have worked in an Enterprise Architecture role in the past, or progressed through Solution Architecture roles with extensive experience in advising clients on migration to Private, Public Cloud and Hybrid IT architectures. You will have an excellent understanding of the different factors which influence or inhibit Cloud Strategy and will be able to guide clients to make the right choices.

A significant proportion of the role will entail gathering business imperatives and high level requirements, proposal writing and client/stakeholder management.

The role will be based in the South/Midlands of England (offices in Reading, London, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Solihull, and Leatherhead) and will require frequent travel to other CGI or client offices as necessary.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As the Cloud Strategist you will:
• Drive the vision for Cloud Advisory services ensuring they address current and emerging client business needs.
• Contribute to Cloud Advisory business strategy and drive the business forwards.
• Contribute specialist Cloud Strategy knowledge and experience, specifically around Advisory, Assessment and Migration services.
• Lead and deliver client engagements, shaping their Cloud Strategies and creating roadmaps for migration.
• Use your comprehensive Cloud experience, techniques and consulting practices to support engagements.
• Work closely with the Director of Advisory Services and other BU leads to actively seek out and secure new business opportunities for CGI.
• Shape CGI and Client business plans, provide input to change governance and estimation.
• Develop and refine Sales and Delivery collateral.
• Write and communicate proposals at board level, setting and managing CxO stakeholder expectations.
• Bring together expert practitioners in a multi-organisation environment.
• Expertly define, validate and promote quality solutions for an opportunity, bid or project as required.
• Actively promote the development and re-use of knowledge across the business.
• Provide thought leadership as required across our Cloud community.
• Demonstrate a broad understanding of different application architectures and how different cloud architectures may or may not support them.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will need to have the following experience/qualifications;
• Demonstrable Consulting experience, ideally from an Enterprise Architecture or Cloud Consulting background.
• A broad awareness of Private and Public Cloud capabilities (e.g. VMWare, Azure, AWS) is required, along with the desire to keep this knowledge current.
• Certification in AWS and/or Azure is desirable, but not essential.
• You will be comfortable presenting solutions both in written documents and workshop situations, leading and facilitating discussions at the highest level.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of coaching/mentoring is desirable.
