The High-Energy Astroparticle Physics group of the Particle Physics Department of IRFU-CEA Paris-Saclay is inviting applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Research Position in multi-messenger studies with high-energy gamma-ray observatories.
Within the framework of the European project AHEAD2020, the successful candidate will lead the development of COLIBRI, a novel software framework that will provide easy access to information about recent multi-wavelength and multi-messenger transient phenomena. The candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to the science program of the H.E.S.S. and CTA VHE gamma-ray observatories.
The funding is for 2 years and includes provisions for conference travel and equipment. It is available from beginning 2021. The position will remain open until suitable candidates are found but interested candidates are encouraged to apply before end of October 2020, when a first application screening will take place.

Desired profile
Profil du candidat
Candidates should hold a PhD in astroparticle or astrophysics with a strong motivation in software developments, the understanding of experimental data and physics analysis. Most of the software is written in Python and experience in web and/or app development (Flutter, Firebase, etc.) would be a plus.
