  Objectives:
·  Management and execution of export orders and corresponding outbound transportation activities including controlling, monitoring and expediting the execution of all export orders to BASF customers, production sites and warehouses in accordance to agreed delivery dates/periods under their responsibilities.
·  Managing and maintaining all export operations and documentation procedures.
·  Archiving of all applicable documentation in accordance to company and regulatory guidelines.
·  Assume the role of Door-to-door accountable for all applicable export orders & transportations by actively planning shipments and also updating BU's on status including providing alerts for any possible disruptions in the transportation process.
·  Where possible and with the support of Track & Trace activities, proactively intervene in cases of deviations in transportation activities to bring shipment back on track in meeting defined and agreed delivery dates.
·  Meet customer-specific service levels and any agreed qualitative demands.
·  Monitor and evaluate transport service provider's performance referring to agreed KPIs, and conduct periodic quality reviews. Main Tasks:
·  Order Processing independently
·  Checking quality of export orders and if required, seek rectification and amendments.
·  Coordinate and synchronize all export activities with internal departments such as C&FT, warehouses, CSO's, BU's and on the external side, customers, service providers (transporters, customs brokers, forwarders and regulatory agencies wherever applicable) to ensure timely shipment and documentation.
·  Plan and execute either directly or through LSP's maritime/air/surface transportation of outbound shipments of packed goods and/or bulk materials in accordance with delivery dates confirmed/agreed with customers.
·  Create, compile and dispatch/distribute all required shipment documents including those needed for regulatory, country and/or customer specific requirements to internal departments such as C&FT, warehouses, CSO's, BU's and on the external side, customers, service providers (transporters, customs brokers, forwarders and regulatory agencies wherever applicable).
·  Create shipping orders for outbound shipments in compliance with arrival dates confirmed to customers, and complying with prevailing contracts and freight agreements negotiated by Procurement of Logistics Solutions, including spot-rates.
·  Planning and forecasting vessel space, containers, Iso-tanks and air freight demands to actively work with LSP's in ensuring adequate shipping equipment in meeting shipping demands.
·  Where required and applicable, manage and coordinate all ancillary activities such as inspections, fumigation and surveying activities pertaining to each export order that has such defined requirements.
·  Where applicable, manage planning of time slots at loading stations and warehouses to ensure timely execution of day-to-day loading activities.
·  Where applicable, arrange for consolidation of cargo to full container/truck loads thereby optimizing transport capacities and resulting in cost savings of freight.
·  Where applicable, transfer contracted and spot freight agreements into operations' system for day-to-day use.
·  Monitor utilization rate of and adherence to contracted quota.
·  Monitor door-to-door performance for orders under accountability, ensuring delivery as promised to (internal or external) customers.
·  Communicate proactively and cooperate and coordinate activities closely wherever required with the Door-to-Door Import Responsible (D2D IR) in the importing region/country in line with meeting customers/BU's requirements.
·  Awareness and adherence to prevailing dangerous goods and transportation safety regulations as well as pre-load restrictions.
·  Manage complaints and/or claims through the SAP NCM module (if applicable).
·  Monitoring of inadequate or incorrect Master Data and initiate rectification with responsible parties.
·  Invoice verification and check freight invoices for deviations from agreed rates/fees.
·  Back up Export Operations team colleagues
·  Continuous Improvement
·  Initiate continuous improvement initiatives and issue resolution of supply chain issues pertaining to export operations scope.
·  Reporting
·  Report to Export Operations Supervisor on order processing conditions, LSPs performance v.s. contracts, incidents & accidents etc.
·  Generate statistics report, incl. monthly KPI report.
·  Quality Management, Governmental Regulation, ISO & EHS Adherence
·  Ensure existing operating procedures and processes are adhered to. Comply with the regulations in ISO9002 and ISO14001 and improving our behavior to ensure the system go smoothly. Ensure order processing in line with TDS requirement.
·  Ensure all the related service, process and documentation is in compliance with government & country-specific legal laws and regulations.   Requirements:        
·  Education:  College degree or above in international trade, logistics, supply chain or related discipline.
·  Working Experience:  About 1 or 2 years working experience in logistics or supply chain; Working experience in chemical industry preferred.
·  Technical & Professional Knowledge:  Good capability in written and verbal English and Mandarin; Have intercultural competence, communication and language skills; Have proactive and solution orientated; Have issue handling skills; Skillful in software of excel, word and PowerPoint; Expertise in Import/Export Management processes and procedures, INCO Terms and export/import regulations preferred; Have knowledge of IMDG, IATA, Supply Chain Processes, Transportation Management (Air, Maritime and surface) preferred; Experience in SAP preferred.
