What you can expect

Our newly founded Connectivity unit develops innovative, sustainable and secure solutions at the interface between IT and automation. Working both within a team and on your own, you will develop connectivity solutions to connect our production facilities to the digital world. In the process, you will work in development, implementation and support of field-to-cloud solutions. This will include innovative IoT and industrial IoT connectivity solutions that integrate things like low-cost sensors or digital islands into the digital BASF world.
You will establish connections between field devices and cloud platforms via gateways.

·  You will also advise users on the new possibilities offered by IoT and Industry 4.0 solutions.
·  Within field-to-cloud implementation projects, your activities will include training our asset and maintenance managers and users and supporting the Group companies in implementing connectivity solutions.
·  In addition, you will further develop the industrial IoT product portfolio and network-based offering components in the LTE 5G NB-IoT environment.
·  Actively following up on new technologies and industrial IoT solutions on the market will also be among your duties.

What we expect

·  For this position, you have a degree in information technology or engineering or have completed a comparable formal vocational training program.
·  You have outstanding knowledge and skills relating to IT networks, mobile solutions, IoT protocols, gateways, and cloud platforms and have experience in programming.
·  In addition you also enjoy working as part of a team, but can also make decisions on your own.
·  You are proficient and persuasive when communicating and presenting in German and English.
·  You are also assertive and get things done and have excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
