Engineer Fiber Pilot Plant (m/f/d)

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our unit Global Fiber Competence Center works on the research and development of technical fibers for the reinforcement of concrete and operates a pilot plant.

·  In collaboration with a team that you coordinate, you operate and maintain a fiber pilot plant for the extrusion and stretching of synthetic fibers, including the planning of necessary expansion and maintenance measures.
·  In addition, you work in research projects, conduct test series and prepare the results for publication purposes.
·  You prepare technical reports, conduct quality controls, take a leadership role and communicate with stakeholders from various institutions.
·  In order to gain insights for your own research projects, you research scientific literature and patent specifications in the field of fiber technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Degree in process engineering or chemistry
·  Work experience in the extrusion and drawing of synthetic fibers
·  Experience in research and development projects, including test methods and scientific work
·  Excellent communication skills in English
·  Willingness to build up a good command of German during the first 6 months
