Job description



The Global Engineering Services Division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our unit Construction Management is responsible for the construction management of large capital projects (LCPs) in Europe.

·  You will manage electrical and instrumentation (E&I) assembly and installation projects in smaller and medium projects (LCPs) at the Ludwigshafen site and worldwide.
·  In addition, you will be responsible for selecting and managing the E&I contractors within your area of responsibility and will ensure quality assurance and acceptance of assembly and installation services.
·  Beyond that, you will manage your team in subject-specific terms and will manage external E&I construction management resources.
·  Last but not least, you will ensure compliance with costs and deadlines, taking safety, health and environmental protection (SHE) into account.

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Diploma in electrical engineering or, alternatively, have a further technical degree with years of relevant professional experience
·  Several years of professional experience in E&I construction management
·  Know-how and skills relating to SHE management and ideally several years of experience in the industry sector
·  Leadership skills in order to manage your team effectively
·  Authentic communication in German and English
