The Core RFP team
RFP stands for “Request For Proposal” and encompasses the entire tendering process (questionnaires, documents, presentations, etc.) that asset managers prepare in order to attract new client mandates.
The Core RFP team is based in Paris and London and is part of the AXA IM Core investment platform managing liquid assets, namely Fixed Income, Equity and Multi Asset portfolios.
The Core RFP team covers both prospective institutional and distribution clients ; from answering of the clients' questionnaire to preparing the pitch presentations for the final ‘beauty contest'. The team's mission thereby is to deliver high quality, winning RFPs within the strict client deadlines. Our proposals cover a diverse range of liquid products and strategies including highly tailored and innovative institutional solutions taking into account responsible investment considerations, from integrated to impact products.
Being part of the Core RFP team involves a close working relationship with portfolio management and sales teams, as well as with all other company's stakeholders (risk, operations, etc.) in a real project management mode.
As the team covers Europe, the United States and Asia, it presents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and insight to the internal framework of one of Europe's largest asset managers and to gain a wealth of knowledge about the products we manage and the markets we operate in.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as a key contributor in the capital raising process, both for mandates and pooled funds, mainly for major institutional investors.
• Overall responsibility for the production (from the first draft to the final proposal to the client) and process coordination of RFPs/Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ), etc.
• Creation of accurate, compelling and client-focused RFP responses aiming to present our company and our investment solutions
• Development of strong, effective, two-way working relationships with key stakeholders, including Institutional Sales teams and Portfolio Managers globally.
• Gaining a broad knowledge of liquid investments (Equity, Fixed Income and Multi Assets products).
• Contact with many business partners who will help in providing data and answering questions (e.g., Sales teams, Portfolio Managers, Responsible Investment experts, Investment Specialist team, Trading and other departments)
• Rigorous adherence to review, compliance and record-keeping procedures (RFP Reporting)

Qualifications :

Education / Qualifications
• Degree in Finance.

Experience
• Prior experience working in the financial markets industry is a plus
• Excellent level of French plus English (another language can be a plus)

Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent writing skills: enjoys writing and transforming technical descriptions into marketing documents, easy to read for non-specialists, with a strong emphasis on key selling points
• Strong analytical skills and products knowledge
- ability to understand and describe investment processes and financial solutions in detail
- client focused
- ability to challenge experts (Sales, Product Specialists, etc.)
• Good project management skills
