The headquarters of the AXA Group, based in Paris, bring together the Group's corporate activities. It coordinates the various entities with the Group's strategy and is responsible for managing international projects. Direction Presentation:

Group Risk Management (GRM) gathers multi-disciplinary teams of high-level experts (actuaries, engineering, data science and financial profiles) which missions mostly revolving around:
· Analyzing, modeling and aggregating of Group Risks (economic capital)
· Defining processes managing risks taken (accumulation risk management for Financial, Longevity or natural catastrophes risks…)
Primary mission:

The Emerging Risk Analyst is in charge of identifying and producing qualitative analysis on the impact on AXA's business and operations of new risks, or risks that are constantly evolving and for which there is little historical data (Environment & Energy; Medicine& Health; Technology & Data; Economy, Finance & Business Environment; Society, Politics & Regulation).

He/she helps different teams at GRM and risk managers in entities to anticipate these changes and identify mitigation actions. He/she also feeds business strategies to identify new insurance protection opportunities in the next 5 to 10 years.

Key accountabilities

Emerging Risk detection, monitoring & analysis

Management of an intern to detect, monitor and produce qualitative analysis of emerging risks:
· Watch and analysis of c. 150 emerging risks, in transversal collaboration with risk experts within the group, to produce a bi-weekly newsletter, quarterly memos and one major annual report (external publication)
· Annual assessment of the Group Emerging Risks profile and maturity level (based on input provided by emerging risk contacts in entities)
Operationalization

Development of tailored analysis, governance and management to ensure emerging risks are considered in strategic orientations and day-to-day business decisions:
· Functional management of the Emerging Risks Community (100+ contacts in risk management across entities) to support the implementation of the Emerging Risk Management framework as defined in the Group Solvency II ORSA policy
· Develop and ensure alignment on emerging risks (i.e. definition of the AXA Group's positioning on specific emerging risks) by liaising with GRM teams, Corporate Centre departments and business contacts in entities
· Organization and participation to the Group Emerging Risks Committee, meeting on a quarterly basis to monitor all emerging risks that could be faced by the AXA Group. Committee members are senior executives from the Corporate Centre (Risk Management, Public Affairs, Corporate Responsibility) and AXA XL representatives
Project management

Lead transversal projects involving several departments and entities:
· Production of the Emerging Risks Survey (yearly survey on risk perception circulated to internal and external contacts including AXA's senior management and AXA XL corporate clients), analysis of internal results and communication to entities and at Corporate Centre level; support to the production of an external report on emerging risks
· Animation and coordination of a yearly Emerging Risks Working Group, gathering local Emerging Risks contacts and other key contacts from the Corporate Centre
· Development of emerging risk analysis by trade sector, in collaboration with AXA XL Risk Consulting
Internal strategic notes & external positioning
· Represent AXA at the Emerging Risk CRO Forum Working Group, a forum of European (re)insurers (2 in-person meeting/year, monthly calls, yearly publications)
· Collaboration with Group Foresight team and the AXA Research Fund to produce forward-looking publications
· Responsible for the annual update of the “Risk & Crisis management” section of the DJSI
Transversal projects GRM

Lead and support transversal projects, as part of the team of the Chief of Staff to the Group Chief Risk Officer. Regular contact with Heads of GRM departments and Chief Risk Officers in entities.

Qualifications :

Technical skills:

· 
Good knowledge of qualitative risk analysis and anticipation

· 
Good knowledge of the AXA Group and the insurance business (risks, underwriting, claims management) could be a plus

Competencies:

Strong communication skills in English and French and ability to influence

Good drafting and analysis skills; ability to convey information in a concise manner

Background and experience:

Between 2 and 5-year experience in the insurance sector (risk management, strategy, underwriting, claims management, risk consulting)
