UCC Presales Technical Writer

Description:

 

The Presales Public Safety Technical Writer is responsible for developing influential content to assist Sales with customer offers (proposals, RFP’s, etc.). This will include but not limited to solution differentiation and alignment with essential messaging. This individual will report to Bid Management and work closely with Sales Managers, Presales Engineering, Service Architects, and Subject Matter Authorities.

 

Core Responsibilities

 

·  Main industry focus in NG9-1-1 and public sector bids
·  Participate with sales team to develop win-themes
·  Provide RFP response and proposal content
·  Supplies content creation and maintenance of Qvidian database in order to provide current and accurate data to improve Bid preparation.
·  Follow ethical business practices.
·  Always uphold and projects the corporate image and brand

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

·  Technical acumen
·  Strategic Thinker
·  Experience building technical content
·  Knowledge and experience in NG9-1-1 and Public sector bids preferred
·  Excellent persuasive writing skills and concise technical writing skills
·  Efficiently sets priorities and coordinate work to complete responsibilities efficiently and on time
·  Self -motivated

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

·  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
·  10 years of experience as a Technical Writer and providing influential customer content
·  Proficient in MS Office applications, Saleforce.com, SharePoint, etc.
·  Experience in Content Management systems (e.g., Qvidian)
·  Sales and/or marketing experience a plus
