Summary- Work closely with the team leader or business manager of a specific organizational unit on collective HR topics of strategic/tactical level, ensuring the achievement of business objectives

 

Responsibilities:  

 

Intercultural and Global Workforce Strategy

·  Be a subject matter expert and contribute to the approach and strategy of securing Intercultural Resources to ensure a successful transition to the North America work culture.    

Workforce Strategy & Management

·  Contribute to business planning and translate that into people planning, helping to drive the HR practices that support the development of key people capability.                                                                                                                                       
·  Monitor initiatives to attract, retain and develop workforce capability and flexibility. And benchmark that against competition and best practices.
·  Advise on redesign of organizational structures to enhance organizational effectiveness.
·  Organisation Design / Effectiveness
·  HR needs to share in the responsibility for sustaining and improving business results by ensuring that HR strategies and plans are translated into concrete actions and tangible results.
·  Shape the organisation structure by aligning activities with people and capabilities in support of business operations 
·  Enable a working environment where sharing knowledge and expertise is not prohibited by organisational barriers 

 

Career Development

• Apply the appropriate tools for succession planning to help the business plan for the future development of staff accordingly. Work with management in recognizing talent and to identify high-potentials and key contributors. 

• Support the business to invest in long-term talent development. 

 

Compensation & Benefits

• Monitor and support the execution of the C&B policy against market practice and budget

 

HR Governance

•  Advise and support managers in addressing complex people issues.

•  Contribute to the definition and monitor the application of appropriate HR policies.

•  Ensuring optimal Industrial Relations

Stakeholder Engagement

• Advise and coach managers on people management, enabling them to lead and develop their teams.

• Represent the entire HR function towards Business management (including escalation on individual HR topics), and represent within HR the specific business needs and requirements of the perimeter                                                                                                                                                                 

  • Responsible for the implementation of general policies into concrete plans and projects, in order to advise and support management.                                                                                                       

 

 

Change Management

• Advise on, facilitate and help drive change, especially related to organizations and people                                                            

• Responsible for planning, managing and delivering results in a systematic manner on change management projects that affect staff, e.g. HR Processes, redundancy or offshoring program’s.

 

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree preferred

• 7+ years of related HR experience

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral with the ability to present oral presentations

-  Intercultural and global experience a must.  Preferably in the Information Technology industry and within India, ideally in particular related to near-/offshoring staffing-/businessmodels        

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Strong ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

• Ability to manage complex or emotional participant situations promptly and professionally

• Ability to prioritize work and initiative to improve processes
