TITLE:                                   Engineer IV

HOURS:                                 Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

 

DUTIES:                                 Coordinate storage project engineering resources across NAO focusing on build, scale, and deployment of storage solutions. Provide inputs to define and drive storage engineering roadmap. Supervise storage engineering projects for their successful and timely execution within the defined SLA. Identify resource needs proactively and manage the resources effectively across the projects by determining and defining priorities. Conduct performance reviews, provide continual feedback, and develop resources on the team and participate in the recruitment process. Provide technical oversight and thought leadership for the team across various projects. Review the risks associated with project requirements, and ensure these are mitigated in the planning and execution stages. Review project or storage architecture proposals to identify the appropriate storage requirements, gaps, and financial implications, and initiate the resulting procurement process. Create, modify, prioritize, and appropriately apply architectural principles for each unique project assigned. Measure the technology impacts in the environment and the larger organization using advanced metrics. Employ strategies to show superior service to business clients and investigate and analyze external indicators to project clients' future needs. Drive activities towards larger strategic goals and envision the future, acting as a catalyst for organizational change.

 

Roving/Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Irving, Texas. Will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S. for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S. Can work remotely or telecommute.

 

REQUIREMENTS:                 Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related.

5 years of experience in IT Storage/Data protection, or related experience

5 years ofexperience in IT Storage/Data protection, or related experiencemust include: Technical experience in the Architecture, Strategy and Design aspects of multi-vendor Storage solutions. Experience building and executing Storage and Backup Engineering solutions with demonstrated understanding of DR principles and requirements. Demonstrated understanding of Inter-Datacenter and Intra-datacenter migrations and experience in storage migrations and refreshes. Technical Architect/Engineering certification in at least in one storage vendor technology. Experience leading and executing Customer Transition and transformational activity in a large scale enterprise environment. Experience managing or supervising projects or people on various projects. Experience coordinating storage project engineering resources across NAO focusing on build, scale, and deployment of storage solutions. Experience providing technical oversight and thought leadership for the team across various projects. Experience providing inputs to define and drive storage engineering roadmap. Experience reviewing project or storage architecture proposals. Experience supervising storage engineering projects for their successful and timely execution within the defined SLA. Experience employing strategies to show superior service to business clients. Experience conducting performance reviews, providing continual feedback, developing resources on the team and participating in the recruitment process.
