C/C++ Developer

Position Description
CGI is looking for a C/C++ developer to work as part of our Atlantic Canada team supporting key national regulatory systems for our client.

You will be a member of multi-discipline team, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the systems with the opportunity to grow your skills in multiple technology directions.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Design and develop solutions to client application enhancement requests
• Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot application issues and design and develop fixes
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Work seamlessly with geographically distributed teams.
• Participate in the daily huddle and provide status updates, contribute to team meetings.
• Explore opportunities to add value to by bringing innovations forward

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Intermediate level (3-5 years) C and C++ knowledge and experience, Linux platform.
• Intermediate level VB6 experience is a nice-to-have
• Intermediate level SQL experience
• DB2 experience is a nice-to-have
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
• CMMI organizational maturity experience
