Amazon’s Workplace Health and Safety team leads cross-functional projects that require collaboration and partnership with Amazon businesses, geographical units and technical subject matter experts (SMEs). We partner with teams to inspire bold thinking, iterate on ideas, and deliver the solutions that will make Amazon the safest workplace on earth. The purpose of communication is to engage with operations, tech, engineering and other potential partners as a means to create pathways for future partnerships to incubate tomorrow’s solutions today. This is done through strategic communication using ‘pull’ marketing methodology based on the stories we need to be sharing.
The goal of the Innovation and Engagement Training is to provide a steady drumbeat of initiatives that continually reduce risks, improve network communications, enhance reporting and build the safety capability of our various stakeholders, worldwide. We rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables; therefore, clear, concise and inspiring communication is key.
We are seeking a self-motivated video editor with a keen eye for detail and a critical mind who will be responsible for logging, reviewing and editing raw video footage and help create the final video for integration into our training modules as well as stand alone projects that hightlight the great work that WHS does within Amazon.
Responsibilities
· Managing and logging incoming project footage and transferring or uploading to our repositories
· Following a script, screenplay or outline for guidance on the overall production
· Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may incude selecting music and writing/recording and or editing voice-overs
· Inputting graphics to enhance footage
· Digitally splicing video and sound and synchronizing them into one rough cut file
· Reorder and fine-tuning content to eusre logical sequencing and smooth running of the video and time constraints are incoperated
· Improving and correcting lighting, coloring and faulty footage & sound
· Creating transitions, titles, graphics and other supporting materials for the video
· Working closely with producers, directors, external vendors, motion graphic designers and learning managers to present a final product that matches the overall vision
· Encorperating stakeholder feedback into overall production
· Taking ownership of post-production management of assests and deliverables, channels & maintenance

Minimum Qualifications:
· 5+ years of industry experience in video & sound editing
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite of software, including but not limted to: Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audtion and color grading software.
· Expert understanding of computers and digital equipment and knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology
· Understands how and when different techiques are used to enhance post-produciton outcome
· Extenstive knowedge of TV/Filming techniques, camera and sound settings and logging/capturing techniques and video production process
· Experience with integrating video into multimedia presentations, displays, websites & mobile content (Youtube, Linked-in, Social Media) in correct format.
· Ability to drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects and prioritizing tasks.
· Demonstrated strong storytelling skills
· Abilty to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvments

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in film or video production specializing in video editing or other relevant industries such as communicaitons and media studies, visual art, graphic design, multimedia or photography.
· 5+ years previous work experience as an video editor for live action video
· Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in motion graphics design
· Script writing and development
· Additional video production experience: Videographer, sound, lighting, directing, cinematography
· Passionate about keeping up with the latest trends and techniques in editing
