DESCRIPTION

Learning Experience Designer/Developer (Level 5)
Job Description
We are seeking experienced instructional designers to capable of developing learning solutions (includes eLearning, classroom, virtual instructor-led training and blended learning content).

The ideal candidate will be ready to contribute non-traditional ideas that will influence the evolution of our existing training offerings for all Safety compliance eLearning courses and onboarding and professional development programs. The person we are looking for has experience designing training for a broad range of media and interaction types with specific skill in blended course design through developing eLearning, assessments, as well as synchronous and asynchronous instructor-led training.

We implement learning solutions that reach worldwide Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Operations team members and personnel throughout Worldwide Operations. Our primary responsibility is to help our audiences be more effective and productive in their roles and drive safety awareness across the company.

Candidates should be creative and analytical problem solvers who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment. They must excel at working independently. Applicants must have a track record for delivering within tight deadlines in spite of complex or ambiguous challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

─ Plan and write content for training programs using rapid instructional design
─ Develop e-learning, reference material, and other creative assets
─ Develop classroom, virtual instructor-led training and blended learning content
─ Leverage rapid, agile development techniques and processes to create content for a rapidly changing environment.
─ Develop exercises, tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other methods of learning including social or connected learning strategies, and multimedia based assets.
─ Manage multiple development projects simultaneously
─ Deliver scalable solutions that help us serve a global customer base
─ Acute attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
─ Demonstrated ability to create assessments based on learning and performance objectives
─ Collaborate effectively with learning project managers and subject matter experts to define learning objectives
─ Contribute to the improvement of processes and curriculum templates to minimize the development time for new training materials

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
─ Extensive experience designing and developing learning through diverse mediums
─ Advanced knowledge in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and Human Performance Improvement (HPI)
─ Superb communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
─ Great eye for usability and judgment for when/how to leverage graphical solutions to convey information

Basic Qualifications:
─ At least 3 years’ experience in an Instructional Design role with a focus on content development
─ Proven experience designing and developing learning under aggressive timelines
─ Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently
─ Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design best practices
─ Proficient with a variety of eLearning development tools including Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Captivate.
─ Acute attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
─ Demonstrated ability to create assessments based on learning and performance objectives
─ Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field

Preferred Qualifications:
─ Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field
─ Project management experience
─ Experience with instructional design in a corporate setting
─ Training or certification in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, or Technical Writing
─ Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
