DESCRIPTION

WHO WE ARE
Amazon's Transportation and Recipient Experience team (TRX) designs products that power the interconnected system of shipping and transportation experiences for Amazon Worldwide Operations. Our products are a critical piece in customers receiving their products on time as expected. We are looking for an experienced, customer-obsessed visual designer to explore, develop, and support brand systems and design solutions for a variety of projects.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, enthusiastic person with the ability to problem solve and work independently in an atmosphere of rapid development—insisting on the highest standards while meeting business needs.

They should have the ability to deliver clean, on-brand designs based on existing style guides, as well as bringing ideas to the table pushing the emerging brand guidelines and design systems forward.

Not only does this candidate have conceptual skills (and the portfolio to back it up), they can work through ambiguous feedback, and optimize their processes and delivery.

They have a deep curiosity to understand how design fits into the bigger picture, and have the skillset to communicate professionally with key business and technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is an excellent collaborator and has no problem presenting–and defending–their ideas to other designers, product managers, and company leaders.

Responsibilities
· Use marketing and business requirements to assist in developing customer-obsessed designs.
· Maintain a high-quality creative, strong attention to detail, while operating in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
· Stay informed on current trends related to design, identifying opportunities to and experimenting with applying new methods and concepts to design problems.
· Listen to and collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure brand consistency across platforms.
· Take direction from team creative leads and leadership, while exhibiting ownership and backbone.
· Present and rationalize work to design, marketing, business and technical stakeholders for review and feedback.
· Contribute and grow the group's best practices for design and operations.
· Extend, evolve, and maintain current brand guidelines for key business areas.
· Create custom iconography and illustrations for digital products in partnership with UX designers.
· Collaborate with other creative partners on photography asset development.
· Collaborate with UX designers to create marketing landing pages for digital products.
· Create program marketing materials (email templates, leave behind sales materials, etc.).

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in design development based on existing style guides and brand guidelines.
· Experience with brand systems and brand development.
· Solid communication and collaboration skills; ability to listen, and present well-crafted rationale for design decisions.
· Manage and prioritize design tasks and initiatives the ability to be self-directed when needed in a fast paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
· 4+ years of experience as a visual designer.
· Solid understanding of basic design principals (typography, composition, scale, color theory, etc.) and knowledge of how those principles work together.
· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite—specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop—on Mac OS.
· Strong attention to design detail, with an online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating visual design skills and relevant experience.
· A team player with a creative spirit that is energetic, positive, collaborative, and resourceful.
