The Last Mile Products and Services team is responsible for designing innovative solutions to empower our delivery drivers, delivery companies, and station operators to deliver packages to customers with accuracy and reliability. We exist to improve the lives of not only our end customers but also our delivery drivers who form the backbone of our continuously growing delivery network.

We work with technical and business stakeholders in the Global Delivery Services business to push the boundaries of delivery technology worldwide—Amazon Flex, Delivery Service Partner, and Amazon Locker are just some of the examples —and we have a pipeline full of ground-breaking products and services in development that will accelerate and expand Amazon's delivery options. Our working backward philosophy and customer obsession makes User research critical to our products' success. Our solutions include a combination of service and software design that requires a knowledge of variety of UX research methods ranging from ethnographic and qualitative techniques to large scale data driven quantitative analysis that inform critical business decisions.

For this position, we are looking for a UX Researcher who is highly skilled at conducting usability studies, interviews, design testing, RITE methods, and human factors studies. In this position you'll have a significant impact on our business as you take a leadership role in setting the research strategy and direction for new products and services. You will be responsible for driving a research strategy and implementing it, across multiple domains. In addition to working closely with your research peers in across Amazon, you will interact daily with product managers, designers, and engineers to understand and guide the team's research needs (known and unknown), including designing and conducting research activities. You have a deep understanding of user research methods and best practices, but you also have a nimble, creative and pragmatic approach, and you're interested in pushing the boundaries of agile research.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3 - 5 years of hands-on experience conducting UX research in an applied setting.

BA/BS in psychology, sociology, anthropology, human computer interaction or related discipline.

Working knowledge of usability principles, experimental design techniques, behavioral statistics and basic qualitative study methods.

A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience, deliverables, and the ability to extract actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
