AWS is seeking a talented and passionate Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to join our growing design and development team that spans between Seattle, Washington and Cape Town, South Africa. This Senior UX Designer will have a significant impact on our business as they lead the design direction for one or more AWS services. Throughout the strategy, design, and development lifecycle, the Senior UX Designer will work collaboratively with a strong design team, engineers, product managers and executives. In addition, this designer will be expected to be a thought leader and to mentor other designers. The ideal candidate will be able to travel quarterly to South Africa.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of industry experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar UX-related role
• 5+ years of experience creating prototypes or highly detailed wire-frames for complex web applications and/or workflows
• 2+ years of experience working in direct collaboration with product managers, developers, and stakeholders for implementation of designs
• An online portfolio demonstrating samples of enterprise work and UX deliverables (wireframes, journey maps, personas) is required to apply for this role
• Bachelor degree
