DESCRIPTION

We are looking to add an experienced UX Designer to our Value Added Services team as we invent new experiences for customers to get a great delivery and service experience on Amazon.

This individual will work to develop a disruptive Service provider experience (think handymen, plumbers, etc.) that changes the way consumers find, buy, and fulfill a unique set of purchases online. The design challenge is to make something that can be extraordinarily complex simple and accessible for users who aren't always technologically savvy.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for independent, creative problem-solving, while exhibiting a strong passion for building top-notch web and mobile experiences, and a well-rounded set of design skills.

Strategic Objectives:
· Participate in the planning process for new features and projects
· Develop and contribute to wireframes, personas, mockups, and interactive prototypes
· Work closely with engineering and business teams to understand and respond to their design needs
· Drive the development and evaluation of usability studies to edit the designs
· Partner with other teams to influence UX patterns across the Amazon platform
· Lead feedback sessions, customer reviews, and usability events to gather data on design effectiveness
· Produce world-class designs and gain buy-in on them across all levels of project stakeholders

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 4 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role
· Ability to create design, prototypes and test designs to own the process end to end
· Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
· Proficiency design tools, prototyping tools, user research / testing tools (e.g. usertesting.com)
· Skilled in visual, user-centric, and web-based design with expertise in design process and execution
· An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions is a requirement for application.
· Experience designing for mobile
