DESCRIPTION

As a Solutions Architect in the National Partner Development team, you will work with some of the largest consulting partners in North America – designing and implementing joint customer solutions utilizing Amazon Web Services. You will have an opportunity to design software solutions and enterprise technology strategies on a variety of technical capabilities depending on the partner and the customer needs (such as big data, high performance computing, web applications, enterprise workloads and others). You will also interact with senior executives at our partners, internal AWS resources, and customers to drive a both technical implementations of solutions, as well as a cohesive technology strategy.

As an Ecosystem Solution Architect focused on SI's within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS and Amazon CloudFront) across the partner community. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement with strategic partners.
You will need to possess deep technical skill in software architecture and cloud computing, customer facing skills at all levels of a partner organization, as well as the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Travel is required for this role. Position can be based anywhere on the west coast that has Amazon corporate presence.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of hands on implementation or consulting experience and demonstrate knowledge of the software development lifecycle
· 3 years in a customer and or partner facing role
· Experience working with end user or developer communities
· BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required
