The Amazon Studios team is chartered to produce original content in service of Amazon's Prime Video customers. The team is responsible for bringing popular TV and movies to their customers and introducing distinctive, critically-claimed award-winning originals like Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle and ground-breaking, popular shows like The Man in the High Castle. The Amazon Studios team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, inventive software manager to create applications that can transform the way our content studio works and applications that connect us with customers and the creative community.

The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the entertainment space, is quick to learn established workflows in sourcing, developing, producing, marketing and distributing content, and will help us innovate to take studio operations into the next generation.

As the development manager, you will have technical ownership of the development and sustainment of new applications that drive studio operations and consumer-facing platforms that allow us to interface with the creative community such as the Amazon Studios website. You'll lead a talented and nimble team of engineers to create innovative ways to manage the business processes of a content studio worldwide through technology tools. Responsibilities include direct management of 8+ engineers, process and quality of service improvements, strategic planning, project management for software within the team, and management of resources across teams. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. The Amazon Studios business requires creative engineering balanced with high quality and internal customer focus.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
· 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
· 2+ years people management experience
· Experience with OOD and object oriented languages
