DESCRIPTION

Do you want to set the vision for Amazon’s content and asset management systems? Does working on products that are used by thousands of Amazonians across the entire company sound like an exciting challenge?
Content Systems is the team you’ve been looking for and we’re looking for a passionate, results-oriented, inventive principal product manager. We own the apps and services for managing media assets and content on the world’s largest and fastest growing retail website. We ingest, store, and process millions of images and pieces of content from marketers, vendors, and 3P sellers and then deliver them to Amazon shoppers, AWS developers, and device users around the world within milliseconds. Within Content Systems you will have the opportunity to solve complex customer problems for the core tools and learning backend for our asset and content management systems.
As a Principal Product Manager in Content Systems, you will own the technical engagement and product roadmap for our newest and most important initiatives spanning our configuration management tools, APIs, and delivery systems. You will become an expert on Content Systems' services in order to drive solutions for dozens of teams across Amazon. In this high-profile position, you will work with senior leadership across Amazon to further Content Systems’ mission and solve our customers’ biggest pain points.
Since this is a highly visible role, it requires top-notch communication skills, strong insight, backbone, and creativity as you help teams leverage our systems in new ways to solve their evolving business problems. You will excel in making data-driven decisions, probing for information and metrics, understanding our customers’ businesses, and paving a path forward when others would stop. We work in a fast paced environment where the only constant is change. In this role, you will need to stay a step ahead of the team to imagine and plan the future of asset and content management at Amazon.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or Masters degree in computer science
· Experience with digital technologies, consumer products, media, or e-commerce
· Experience with customer development and validating products through customer feedback

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or equivalent experience
· 10+ years of software product management experience
· Proven success in delivering technology products and/or services in a high growth environment
· Have the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences
· Be a strong, data-driven leader who can prioritize well and who understands how to drive excellence with their customers
· Have a strong track record of achieving a balance between innovation, quality, and customer focus
