DESCRIPTION

Amazon Global Security Operations (GSO) is looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to provide application support, troubleshooting, and customer issue resolution for the GSO Security Integrations Group. This individual will work with other engineers to support Amazon Operations' physical security system infrastructures, including: access control, CCTV, visitor management, and incident management systems.

Organizational skills and attention to detail are imperative. Your ability to work independently with limited direction, communicate effectively with team members in disparate geographic locations, and drive project timelines will be critical to your success. You will work on a team submitting requests for quotes, ordering, budgeting and managing install of concurrent projects while partnering closely with service providers, real estate, engineering and operations organizations. As a single point of contact for various aspects of physical security implementation, you will be required to resolve problems and develop relationships at all levels of the organization, including outside vendors.

Jointly with the program managers, you will drive and motivate the cross-functional team to deliver the device as per the requirements; directly manage the core product deliverables and cross functionally manage other internal team members and outside supplier teams; coordinate and plan engineering builds at the supplier; drive the configuration management deliverables; and drive closure of technical issues.

Responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day support operations of a fast-paced complex distributed physical security infrastructures
- Following standard procedures for proper escalation of issues to the appropriate teams
- Reviewing and recommending logical and technical design as defined by documented standards
- Documenting knowledge in the form of knowledge base articles
- Serve as an interface for security hardware ordering and tracking
- Accurately record all information to include location, cost, milestone dates, and details
- Ensure installation and augmentation processes meet and comply with all Amazon polices and guidelines, specifically GSO policies
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts with internal and external stakeholders
- Effectively communicate project risks to all stakeholders across all levels and take appropriate action to mitigate risk
- Drive cost-savings and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in other administrative duties, including supplier invoice auditing, asset tracking, and inventory management

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1-2+ years of experience working in either a customer facing IT role, or the security industry
- Experience working in a customer focused environment
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Previous experience/education in computer literacy
- Experience maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external partners
