We're looking for an outstanding Engineer who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. As a Hardware Design Verification Engineer, you will engage with experienced cross-disciplinary staff to develop innovative technology through all phases of the development process. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

The Role
• Develop and document test plans. Carry out engineering verification and validation including optical, mechanical, and electrical testing
• Design and build complex test systems to verify hardware design
• Design and build complex test systems to support manufacturing test engineering (MTE)
• Perform hands-on bring-up of new hardware from concept to product through multiple stages of DoE (design of experiment), prototyping, system design, assembly, integration, validation and verification, and production
• Hands-on assembly for system integration, troubleshooting, and testing
• Perform system modeling, tolerance analysis, statistical performance analysis
• Manage the technical relationship with vendors to deliver new components to the required specification and schedule

Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics with 6+ years' industry experience as a hardware engineer
· Hands-on experience with hardware development, verification, and testing
· Strong analytical skill
· Basic ability to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on hardware and test stations
· Experience with a variety of modern programming languages (Python, C/C++) and open-source technologies (Linux)
