An important function within the AWS organization is Platform Business Development, which is a global function centered around market development for new web services and market expansion for existing web services.
We are looking for a Sr. Business Development Manager to help define and execute the strategy to grow the End-User Compute related services, including but not limited to, WorkSpaces, Appstream 2.0, WorkDoc, and Worklink. You would use your business savvy to drive revenue, develop sales programs, and identify new markets and opportunities. You will work directly with the most interesting and demanding customers – from the world’s hottest startups to the largest enterprises – to understand their requirements and turn them into reality.
Your background in cloud-friendly, scalable architectures will help customers understand how to scale their infrastructure on the cloud. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will allow you build sales enablement tools, evangelize our platform with our enterprise customers, start-ups and valued partners.
The ideal candidate will possess a business development background and demonstrate great technical acumen that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and Bias for Action is a must.
§ 10+ years of business development, enterprise sales, strategic partnerships, or program/product management experience;
§ Experience selling to Fortune 1000 and/or Global 2000 organizations;
§ Experience with cloud computing and or related fields (IT, software, etc).
§ Deep knowledge of VDI protocols and virtualization technology is a plus.
§ MBA or equivalent relevant business experience.

Ideal candidate profile
§ The right person will have experience identifying and growing new markets and vertical solutions.
§ Possess 10+ years enterprise selling outsourcing, consulting or managed services, preferably VDI solutions, Thin/Zero Clients.
§ Solid enterprise negotiation skills, and business and financial acumen;
§ Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business;
§ Experience with, and detailed knowledge of managed services market and insights related to Emerging Technology, vertical workloads, cloud computing and IT;
§ Strong verbal and written English communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.
§ Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key
§ Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical.
§ Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
§ Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
§ Accelerate customer adoption.
