We're looking for outstanding an outstanding engineer who combines superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our research teams. We're looking for someone who innovates, and loves solving hard problems! The successful candidate will combine superb technical, research and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience creating electrical wiring diagrams and developing 3D routing of wires and cable harnesses based on those schematics. You must enjoy problem solving and possess practical knowledge of connector selection, wire sizing, and installation of cable harnesses in volume-constrained products.

You will be responsible for working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production, including design, prototyping, validation and testing.

Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent job exp.
· 10+ years of electrical wiring harness design experience in CAD
· 10+ years of schematics and wiring diagram experience
· Experience with CATIA (3D Experience preferred), especially with the Electrical 3D Systems Designer- and Systems Schematic Designer- modules
· Experience with part modeling, detailed design, and 2D production drawings
· Experience with data translation from standard neutral formats (e.g., STEP and IGES)
· Experience with CAD data management
