The Global Compensation team is looking for an economist to support the design and measurement of compensation policies for Amazon employees worldwide. In this high impact role you will work with economists, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and evaluate the effectiveness of existing compensation programs.
A successful candidate will be able to partner effectively with both business and technical teams on key business problems and will be an expert in using causal inference methods to provide actionable insights. You will be expected to own the development of econometric models and to manage the modelling and validation work.
Ideal candidate profile
· PhD in Economics or related field
· 0-2 years of experience in industry, consulting, government, or academic research
· Experience in micro-econometrics with a particular focus on applied causal inference
· Effective verbal and written communications skills.
