DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking an Italian Language Data Linguist to join our Alexa data team. This role focuses on speech and language data, primarily in the areas of translation, localization, text annotation, and general language expansion deliverables.

The Italian Language Data Linguist must be capable of:

· Building a thorough understanding of labeling conventions and providing support to global sites
· Localizing established guidelines from English into Italian
· Delivering high quality data output under aggressive deadlines
· Working autonomously with minimum direction
· Contributing to process improvements to reduce handling time and improve data output
· Diving deep into issues and implementing solutions independently
· Providing quality expertise to other team members and coaching improvements
· Assist with general translation work as needed

In addition, the Italian Language Data Linguist will need to quickly understand changes in response to customers' requests and change workflows accordingly. The Italian Language Data Linguist must have a passion for data, efficiency, and accuracy as well as:
· Show proactive efforts in addressing issues and problems
· Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented
· Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
· Willingness to support several projects at one time, and to accept re-prioritization as necessary
· Ability to keep up with changing project conventions and priorities

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA or BS degree
· Native level fluency in Italian
· Business level fluency in English
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel
