The Role:

As a Compliance Engineer, you will be experienced in FCC and worldwide certification processes of wireless hand-held consumer electronics. You will have familiarity with wireless radio technology ranging from BT to LTE. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

In this role you will work closely with the design teams by specifying regulatory requirements, completing pre-testing of the Hardware platforms, mobile devices and accessories developed by several product design team sand supporting the team through product execution, ultimately assisting the team to obtain the required regulatory compliance on the devices. The regulatory approvals will consist of FCC, CE on the wireless part and UL, TuV on the product safety part. You will also work with our manufacturing partners to test and ensure all in-production devices continue to be in compliance with all certifications. In this role, you will:

· Initiate international type approvals
· Maintain internal certification documents
· Update all certification record and file for renewals
· Participate in international expansion and prioritize additional int'l certification
· Advise PM. Launch, Ops with update of certification completion
· Work with design teams to review for EMI/ESD considerations
· Update the hardware design teams of the new test status of all test results of each design phase
· Create processes to ensure the Compliance Team communicates policies and processes – as it relates to regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, global)
· Test production-level units to ensure in-production units continue to meet global certifications (FCC, CE, Product Safety)
· Work with the accessory team to make sure all product safety, performance, and regulatory requirements are met
· Work with suppliers to draft the product-specific regulatory test requirements, monitor and update test status, and drive tests to completion

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar technical discipline
· 3+ years of compliance experience with consumer electronics, submitting products for global approvals and following through to obtain certs.
· Experience with fast-paced development environment.
· Experience working with Asia-based manufacturing partners
· Experience with MS Office applications including Excel
