About the role:

Key activities of this position focus upon the preventation and recovery of incidents primarily within the application layers of the Amadeus IT environment. When not recovering incidents, contribution to the quality initiatives including developing procedures, knowledge database expansion, developing tools to support monitoring, early incident detection and automated recovery.

Your main responsabilities will be:

· Drive and recover service failure incidents and provide feedback leading to the prevention of incidents. Provide input to post-incident reports.
· Review processes & tools used by the team and in conjunction with the other global sites, discuss, document and develop enhancements including actively following-up on the implementation of improvements in production.
· Continually develop personal knowledge of the tools, process and best practices within the team including the various application & environments operated by the team in terms of business criticality, dependencies & relationships to other applications and design. Where applicable share this information with team members.
· Work with the different project teams in order to achieve sign-off for the acceptance of new applications and tools - including the documentation of procedures and training.

About you:

· Experience working in an IT Operations Service Management team using ITIL principle and practices.
· Experience with automation tools and/or automating manual processes.
· Intermediate knowledge of Unix / Linux / Windows Operating Systems.
· Good understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL principles and practices.
· Basic understanding of the Amadeus range of applications, products and services is beneficial.
· Good technical understanding of the various Amadeus systems platforms and technology used in those platforms.
· Working knowledge of the following technologies and standards is a plus: VMWare, Cloud technologies, Oracle, noSQL, SQLite, Perl, PHP, Python, PowerShell, JBOSS middleware, Veritas VCS & VCSOne, IBM Websphere MQ, ITIL, EDIFACT message standards, Operations Center Environments and Citrix.
· Good oral and written communication skills, ability to prioritise and multi-task, attention to detail, analytical thinking.
