The Account Manager – Online Travel applies specialized functional, technical expertise & consultative selling skills in the solution selling processes within the Online Travel market. He / she is responsible for the penetration of Amadeus online travel solutions in the Benelux markets, thereby ensuring achievement of booking and revenue diversification targets.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Education:

· University or Bachelor Degree in Business, IT, Commercial Sciences, Marketing or Economics.

Knowledge, Skills:

· Good networking, consultative selling & influencing skills
· Result-driven, multi-cultural, structured, flexible & pro-active personality
· “Yes we can” and “I will do” mentality!
· Pro-active in proposing improvements in processes and organize those in practice
· Willingness to develop the account management role to a new level
· Ability to work in a cross-functional, global, matrix organization as a team player
· Proven experience in an emerging technology environment
· Excellent understanding of the Tourism and Leisure and Online Travel business needs
· Knowledge of online travel technology is a distinct advantage
· Local languages (Dutch) and excellent level of written and oral English

Experience:

· At least 2 years’ working experience in emerging technologies & / or online travel, of which at least 1 years in a commercial or customer focused role
· Commercial or Technical pre-sales consultancy experience would be a distinct advantage

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Responsibilities

· Actively scan the Benelux online travel market to identify business needs & sales opportunities.
· Generate & follow-up on sales leads & opportunities for the development of new business offerings or enhancement of existing business
· Build & share business & process knowledge of the online travel market and translate these into needs & benefits in order to enhance the Amadeus offerings
· Actively participate in complex sales processes related to online travel customers in order to secure profitable sales & realistic delivery commitments.
· Build & defend business cases & pricing models, drive commercial processes & contract negotiations related to online customers/prospects
· Act as the link between the customer and the project implementation team to build & test prototypes & to ensure that all client needs are effectively fulfilled.

Subject Matter Expertise:

· Propose improvements / modifications of products/solutions/processes in order to achieve efficiencies, cost savings & quality compliance
· Act as the champion & subject matter expert for the Benelux online travel market
· Synthesize regional /central initiatives & analyze impact on the local market
· Advice and direct initiatives to improve adoption rates, marketing campaigns, sales techniques, etc.

Internal reporting & knowledge sharing

· Provide weekly planning and reporting on activities to line manager.
· Comply with objectives set by the line manager, achieving expected revenue, profitability, and satisfaction levels in portfolio.
· Transmit relevant client, market and competitor information, as well as product functionality requirements to line manager.
· Maintain a high level of up-to-date knowledge of the online & leisure travel market & solution lines portfolio as well as of other market information (trends, strategy, competitors, pricing, etc.).
· Ensure the regular transfer of knowledge to the internal teams

Relationship Management

· Build, develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within the assigned base of customers / resellers/ channel partners in order to develop opportunities, maintain, and expand business within existing accounts.
· Create, develop & maintain structured relationships with key decision-makers within Amadeus
· Ensure collaborative relationships with the various divisions at the local level and central level
