Working within the operations department of the Broughton site, this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that is responsible for the build and delivery of Airbus aircraft. The applicant will have the opportunity to work autonomously as a member of the enablement team and support with key business projects that align to safety, quality, cost, delivery and people.

The single aisle program is based at Broughton site working for all Airbus commercial aircrafts. The most profitable and successful aircraft company. Single aisle alone manufacturing over 50 wings sets per month and rising. The single aisle department is the largest within Broughton which consists of over 2,000 operators, engineers and support staff. Airbus alone recruit 200+ interns per year. 

Tasks:

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

·  Work as part of the enablement team to support the delivery of rate ramp up planning and enablement, cost convergence projects, business improvement support.
·  Support with the deployment of key projects which will require involvement across multiple functions, analysis of data and help to develop your project management skills.
·  Support business governance reviews and projects, ensuring key milestones are delivered on time, on cost & on quality
·  Drive and influence change in a leading aircraft manufacturing environment
·  Work as part of a multi-functional team at all business levels, adapting to changing landscapes within the business

Our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

You must be an undergraduate for the full duration of the placement, studying towards a degree in one of the following:

·  Aerospace/Manufacturing Engineering
·  Business
·  Lean
·  Strong ability to work well in a team
·  Self-motivated in managing personal time, goals and objectives
·  Able to work autonomously, recognising when support is required and seeking advice when necessary
·  Ability to manage customer expectations & deliver on commitments
·  Excellent communication skills and ability to present to a variety of audiences
·  Innovative mindset with creativity & strong analytical skills
·  Focus on removal of non-value added activities with a strive for efficiency
·  Have a customer focus and the ability to integrate well into the business
·  Confident & resilient with ability to challenge the status quo with blue sky thinking
