Are you a resourceful and systematic Engineer who loves creating Feed and Filter designs? Looking for a role where you have autonomy and can bring ideas to life? Interested in creating methodical and systematic documentation that portrays the facts of the design lifecycle and testing. Then we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for a Feed & Filter Design Engineer to join the Antenna Group in Stevenage. You will join a small multinational team who are part of a larger transnational department. The team has achieved awards for papers and techniques. As a Feed and Filter Engineer you will work on multiple projects, with a life cycle of 12 months.

The Engineering team for Feeds and Filters designs a range of products from filters, orthomode transducer (OMT), horns to Polarisers. They support ongoing programs, data processing, and creation of various documentation throughout project life cycle.

Tasks

·  Microwave/ Radio Frequency (RF) design, analysis and verification of feed chain components and / or filters for space equipment.
·  Use associated design software such as - CST, Mician or high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS)
·  Generate reports, procedures, analysis, presentation material and provide technical support for our customers.
·  Support RF testing of components and equipment during flight or development test campaigns.
·  Attend customer meetings, presentation of designs, test campaigns, results, and reports.

Possible involvement with:

·  Advance manufacturing techniques (3D Printing)
·  Unique design solutions for 3D Printing technologies
·  Working in Coaxial, Waveguide, and other technologies.
·  High power handling, multipaction and PIM.
·  Development work possible.

This role comes with infrequent travel

Skills

·  Physics, Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering background
·  Working knowledge of feed components or filter design
·  Professional / Academic understanding of analogy filter types, such as butterworth or chebchev or Bessel or Elliptic
·  Test experience would be advantageous, however training will be provided

The successful candidate will need to be eligible to gain BPSS check (including a criminal record check) or UK SC Security Clearance to undertake the role.
