Launch an exciting career by joining our Airbus Apprenticeship Programme! Our Apprentices receive second to none training, gaining the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to enable you to make an immediate contribution when you enter the workforce.

Our Engineering Degree Apprenticeship offers a full degree with no fees, plus vocational training with a regular salary. Airbus is leading the way with this unique 4 year Programme through which you will achieve a BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering, Level 2 Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering & Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and work towards a professional IEng level award.

This specialist Programme is designed to develop high level aeronautical engineering skills by combining academic and vocational studies in aeronautical engineering. You will be studying at our training partner and the University of the West of England (UWE) and Weston College, to achieve your degree, and your industry based work takes place at our world leading aircraft manufacturer site in Filton, Bristol.

Tasks

Your first 8 to 10 months on the Apprenticeship will be spent at our training partner completing your vocational foundation diploma.

Following this, our Engineering Degree Apprentices then go on to develop their skills and technical knowledge through a combination of academic study and on the job work and training.

At our site in Filton, you'll undertake a range of on-site placements and have the opportunity to cover a number of disciplines that will allow you to gain broad exposure of our world class Airbus Commercial Aircraft Programmes and work alongside our world-leading experts in aerospace. You can expect to have placements within business areas such as;

·  Systems
·  Landing Gear
·  Structures Engineering

The types of placements you can expect may include;

·  Architecture
·  Design
·  Simulation
·  Aircraft Integration
·  Stress
·  Systems Installation Safety Analysis
·  Certification
·  In-service Support

As one of our Engineering Degree Apprentices, you can expect to gain broad real-world experience across variety of exciting Programmes, working with world leading experts in aerospace; a benefit that only an apprenticeship can offer!

In addition to your work placements and studies there are a number of valuable training opportunities that cover a variety of subjects, as well as encouraging you to get involved in education and community projects to broaden your experience and develop skills along the way.

Skills

In order to be eligible for this exciting apprenticeship opportunity, you must have a minimum of either;

·  112 Combined UCAS points, made up of A-Level Grade B minimum in Maths, and Grade C minimum in Physics or Chemistry, with a further A-Level/AS-Level/BTEC Diploma.

Or

·  BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in an Engineering Subject at minimum grade DMM, where the Distinction grade is in Further Mathematics.

Or

·  Or: Access to HE - Minimum 30 Level 3 credits, with 15 in Maths and 15 in a Science or Technology subject.

Or

·  Baccalaureate IB - Minimum H5 grade in Mathematics, and a minimum H3 grade in either Biology, Chemistry, Comp Science, Physics.

And

·  Minimum Grade 4/C English, and Grade 5/B Maths.
