Description of the job :
A vacancy for an Embedded Linux Development Expert (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will join TESO - Data Processing and On-Board Software organisation.

Within the “Data processing and On-Board SW” (TESOD5) department, in the “Data Processing and On-board Software” (TESOD) transnational Unit, you will join the software development team.

Your mission will be to design/develop software (applicative, middleware or drivers) on Linux operating system and provide expertise for Linux based project.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Task & accountabilities :
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring C/C++ development,
- Managing Software Architecture,
- Providing Linux Kernel and ecosystem expertise,
- Managing Drivers on Linux (network, platform, character),
- Supporting SW project teams for Linux based project,
- Ensuring a technology watch on Linux community,
- Ensuring Video/Image processing management,
- Providing Yocto / Openembedded expertise,
- Managing Architecture ARM, LEON, PowerPC, Intel,
- Providing Systemd, dbus, gstreamer, uboot experience.

This role may involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :
You will have the following skills and experience:

- Strong experience in Software development and Linux environment,
- Competencies in Programming Languages (C/C++, java, python, shell), Tools (Jenkins, GIT, gerrit, etc.) and Operating system (Linux),
- Ability to listen, meticulous approach, spirit of analysis and synthesis, ability to take initiative, autonomy,
- Communication skills,
- Languages skills: advanced level of English and negotiation level of French.
