Description of the job

A vacancy for a E2E PLM Enterprise Architect – MBSE Framework (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the Architecture Integration team within IM Develop organization.

IM Develop organization is established to ensure Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) Support and Services as requested by Programmes, CoE and CoC. The department is the home within Airbus to lead the development, the implementation, the maintenance and the support of PLM to all Airbus programs in line with the corporate strategy.

Within the frame of its Digital Design, Manufacturing & Services (DDMS) programme, Airbus is undergoing a significant digital transformation to benefit from the latest advances in new technologies and targets a major efficiency breakthrough across the program and product lifecycle.

PLM plays a key role in this digital transformation with the deployment of 3DExperience platform /OnePlatform, which delivers digital continuity, from design to operations, in a single data model for a unified user experience, making (DDMS) a company-wide reality for all Airbus divisions and product lines.

For the future A/C Definition, Design, Manufacturing and Services Airbus aims at integrating best in class tools MBSE methods and processes within the PLM OnePlatform.

As a E2E PLM Enterprise Architect – MBSE Framework (m/f), you will be accountable to benchmark and select the best out –of-the-box PLM solution for MBSE to support new Airbus challenges. You will elaborate standards, architecture principles, road maps, and best practices to ensure interoperability between all relevant Functions/applications/Services for MBSE solutions integrated within the 3DExperience platform /OnePlatform. You will work closely with the DDMS programme and relevant engineering discipline. You will be accountable in IM to ensure consistency with the overall architecture, convergence strategy and integration master plan for the PLM, in collaboration with other architecture disciplines, with and with the development teams within agile release trains.

Tasks & accountabilities

The person we are looking for will:

o Act as the IM Develop E2E PLM Enterprise Architect – MBSE Framework
o Act as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future IT Products &Services and validates product designs
o Collaborate with Engineering and other Solution Architects, systems analysts, and developers to deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting-edge technologies.
o Define models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions.
o Participate in all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support.
o Align architecture strategy with the organization's business goals and long-term strategic planning for the organization's Information systems.
o Define policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the organization.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such, you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

o Master degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related discipline
o Proven experience in MBSE frameworks supporting Product Line concepts
o Deep knowledge of PLM Solutions and (3DExperience would be a plus) with focus on
• MBSE
• PDM, TDM
• Configuration Management
o IT & Business Strategy Alignment
