Job Description

A vacancy for a Cloud Infrastructure Solution Architect (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join the infrastructure architecture team of IM (Information Management) department, in charge to design, develop, and build with and for our customers the best hosting platforms possible, advisory and consultancy using most appropriate combination of latest available technologies.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Solution Architect (m/f) you will play a critical role in ensuring that our internal customers using cloud based and IoT platforms, have the best experience possible in their journey to digitalization, automation and agility. Working in close collaboration with product owners and technical teams, you will design, maintain and update resilient infrastructure, providing to our customers the best solutions.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:

·  Define architecture best practices and ensures governance standards usage.
·  Actively capture and promote infrastructure hosting solution demands ensuring speed and efficiency on deliveries with the permanent objective of cost efficiency, flexibility,  scalable operations, security and extended enterprise
·  Provide guidance, consultancy, active support  and added values to the business
·  Develop and deliver efficient, sustainable and agile architecture hosting solution designs & developments with roadmaps and layout offering the most benefits for the business evolution and the overall company
·  Design evolutions of services to capture more business demands.
·  Guarantee the evolution of the infrastructure hosting platforms by promoting new technologies and managing the obsolescence as well as the retirement of the components
·  Follow the platforms evolution throughout their life cycle.
·  Guarantee efficient usage and rational management of the Airbus digital platforms by anticipating IM architecture solution demands, capacity and budget
·  Lead external supplier solution architects

This role may involve some travel for business in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You will need the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in IT or a related discipline,
·  Strong experience in technical infrastructure architecture (onPrem, Hybrid, Cloud, serverless, etc)
·  Proven AWS services knowledge is mandatory (optionally IoT and Azure knowledge would be a plus)
·  Experience automation tools (ex. Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, etc.)
·  Experience in databases (ex. PostGreSQL, Maria DB, MangoDB etc…)
·  Advanced security knowledge
·  Coding abilities (Python, YAML, PowerShell, Bash etc…) could be a plus
·  You are comfortable with features and requirements definition, customer interviews and surveys, metrics analysis, and competitive analysis
·  Curiosity
·  Team player
·  Strong analytical problem solving ability
·  Negotiation level of English
