University Administrator - Advanced excel and access skills ESSENTIAL

Our client, a University based in Hendon, are currently recruiting for an Administrator to join them ASAP. It is essential the post holder will have experience with using Microsoft software, especially Microsoft Excel/Access and must be able to show this.

·  Location: Hendon

·  Pay: £14.95 p/hr

·  Hours: Monday to Friday - 35 hours

·  Type: Temporary

·  Duration: Until December 2019

·  Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

·  Analyse and interpret data from a placement database and provide reports as and when required

·  Compare the initial pass list received from the University's Assessment Board to identify missing/additional students and any programme anomalies

·  Scrutinise and assess each student record to determine that all placement and professional requirements have been met prior to registration

·  Liaise with the Contract Operations Manager with regards to identifying completing students; and the dissemination and collection of Final Self Declaration of Good Health and Character forms

·  Address issues that arise from assessing the student record.

·  Registering and maintain academic staff's teaching qualifications with the Nursing and Midwifery Council on an ad hoc basis

·  Advise and liaise with the Programme Leaders regarding registration notes to be given to students at the completion meetings

·  Process and monitor sickness/absence returns

·  Give operational assistance on all uniform and badge orders, sizing and distribution events.

·  Other duties as requested

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

Essential

·  The successful candidate will be educated to at least degree standard or equivalent.

Experience:

Essential

·  Substantial administrative experience of working within the health sector or within Education

·  Proven ability to organise and prioritise work demands to meet deadlines with a minimum of supervision

·  Ability to produce clear and concise reports, on occasions drawing on large datasets, and using well developed and appropriate communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, internal and external.

·  Experience of customer care procedures and processes

·  Good understanding of the teaching profession and initial teacher training

·  And/or Good understanding of pre and post-registration nursing and midwifery requirements

Knowledge:

Essential

·  Project Management Theory and Methodology

·  Familiarity with Project Management software

Skills:

Essential

·  Competence in MS Office Software, specifically MS Access and Excel

·  The ability to exercise considerable tact and diplomacy

·  Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills

·  Ability to work on own initiative

·  Ability to problem-solve and make decisions

Desirable

·  Ability to use systems to access information and generate reports
