Test Architect

Preston based - initially remotely but the role requires office presence.

Adecco UK is privileged to be supporting our client once again.

You will be the advocate and authority for Test Engineering covering test automation, performance testing, and other technical test services.

You will have a vision for the future of the Test Engineering Service and look to investigate and lead the development and implementation of new service offerings, working closely with the team to ensure they have the skills and development required to meet the changing needs of the service.

You will take end to end responsibility for the delivery of Test Engineering services to clients. A key element of the role is to investigate and deeply understand client needs, define high-quality test engineering solutions that meet those needs, and then assure that the solutions are delivered effectively to a high standard.

As a Test Architect, you will be client-focused, results-driven, dynamic, and passionate about delivering services.

About the Role

* Show thought leadership inside and outside the company, especially in the areas of software delivery, technical testing and new technology

o Define and implement new initiatives within the company and take others along on the journey

o Attend and contribute to industry events, conferences and meetups showing company thought leadership by sharing expertise and ideas

* Evangelise the benefits of testing solutions, testing processes and technology of services

* Have a view and understanding of emerging and future testing technologies

* Drive governance and assurance of the delivery of Test Engineering services

* Deliver, evolve, and enhance the service definition and roadmap for Test Engineering Service offering, ensuring compelling solutions are offered to drive continual growth

* Act as the technical design authority on client solutions and testing tools

* Develop Test Architecture as per organisational needs

* Contribute to pre-sales activities, including technical discovery, interpreting and responding to RFPs, and development and presentation of client proposals

* Strategic leadership and planning from establishing requirements and goals to solution delivery and execution

* Working closely with client business stakeholders to build solutions to meet and exceed their requirements and expectations for Test Engineering

* Provide support and guidance to test managers on test architecture, frameworks and capabilities

* Provide consultancy to customers and sales functions on opportunities and business problems
