Adecco are currently recruiting for Switchboard Operators for Cheshire Constabulary, to be based at the Headquarters in Winsford.

The purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective centralised switchboard service to the public on behalf of the Force.

This role will involve:

·  Receiving and actioning incoming non-emergency calls by obtaining necessary information, giving advice an providing information to callers when appropriate ensuring compliance with Force policy and procedure.

·  Recording and distributing appropriate non-emergency calls via the internal telephone system ensuring that they are diverted to the correct department/person.

·  Accessing and updating the computerised internal telephone directory and dip sample information ensuring accuracy of data stored on the system is maintained.

·  Technological change is an on-going requirement for Force communications and operations, so it is expected that the job holder will participate in the familiarisation and training exercises necessary to enable the job to continue to function effectively.

There is a full time role available which will require working on a 3 weekly shift pattern that will include some weekends, and a part time role working 2 or 3 days a week.

The pay rate for this role is £10.07 per hour for shift working, and a time and half rate for working weekends.
