We are currently recruiting for a Project Officer to join our client in the NG7 area of Nottingham on a temporary basis for approximately 4 months.

The purpose of the role is to manage and implement a number of projects within the focus area and providing support to the Head of Operations and Department Director and members of staff.

Duties involved:

·  To work with the Project Direction and Head of Operations to coordinate the development and implementation of the aspects of the business plan

·  To collect and collate necessary data for reporting against KPI's and work with the Head of Operations to prepare progress reports in line with requirements

·  To provide support which includes ensuring meetings are organised, drafting meeting papers and follow up actions and establishing a project log

·  To provide administrative support to the Head of Operations in respect of the research development work undertaken by the project and monitoring the finances

·  To provide administrative support for the recruitment of research and admin staff

·  To ensure the project records and documents are set up and maintained in Office365 to facilitate effective sharing of documents within the Executive and Management Board

·  To support project initiatives as appropriate

Skills and Experience:

Essential

·  Graduate or equivalent qualification

·  Proven track record of experience working in a project management role in a research environment

·  Awareness of current developments in higher education

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Strong interpersonal skills

·  The ability to liaise, communicate and build working relationships across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders

·  Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

·  Proven analytical and problem solving ability

·  Planning and strategic thinking skills

·  High degree of numeracy

·  Proven time management skills

Desirable

·  A post-graduate degree in a STEM subject

·  Qualified in PRINCE2 or MSP

·  Understanding of the research life cycle and outputs
