We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work full time hours from Monday to Friday for our client based in Beaumont Leys.
Responsibilities will include:
· Responsible for Electrical and Mechanical maintenance of all process, packaging and plant equipment
· Capable of fault finding and problem solving (advanced) - PLC Level
· Coaching and supporting other Technicians in the team to develop their technical skills
· Support/lead project initiatives in plant
· Responsible for co-ordination of contractors and contracts including issuing of PTW
· Able to analyse data and trends to identify route cause of failures and put in place corrective actions and justifications
· Responsible for preventative maintenance, electrical inspections, electrical testing and adherence to the site electrical policy
· Responsible for completing specialist tasks including confined space, gas, working at height, once training given.
Experience Required
· Electrical qualification and experience
· Level 3 electrical competency standard / Inspection & Testing / 18th Edition.
· Minimum 2 years proven record of electrical maintenance
· Experienced in PLC control equipment and SCADA systems
· A proven record of diagnosing complex control systems issues
· Experienced in high volume continuous production environment with PLC, pneumatic control with a high mechanical aptitude
· Demonstrate analysis and problem-solving capabilities
· Excellent influencing, presentation, communication and decision-making skills
· Proven success of leading maintenance teams in challenging environments
· Strong team player who adopts a continuous improvement approach
Decision-Making Authority:
· Identifies and addresses own technical competence gaps
· Involved in longer term technical development for the plant
· Proactively develops improvement opportunities and productivity ideas
· Searches for and drives the development of solutions to problems
· Supports the site with engineering expertise, leadership of Front-Line Employees and production line knowledge
· Cost orientated - will identify equipment and line performance improvements through working with other functions and external organisations e.g. suppliers, R&D, planning
· Reviews maintenance scheme and implements improvements.
· Reviews product quality information and takes appropriate actions to make improvements
