To undertake the systematic identification, evaluation, amendment, review, retention and disposal of Information located on Force IT systems, in particular the analytical examination, interpretation and recommendation of actions on digital data for all Nominal / Pole and associated records on CIS / OIS and UNIFI.

To research Force IT systems to identify and link information making recommendations on records and their retention and disposal in line with force policy and MOPI legislation, to include but not be restricted to:
* Managing a rolling programme of Triggered or Scheduled reviews of all nominal / pole records in line with Force Policy, (MoPI), National Retention Assessment Criteria (NRAC), Human Rights Act 1998, Data Protection Act 1998, Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 (CPIA) and Freedom of Information Act 2000 legislation.
* Providing a service of dynamic reviews of records to support operational policing
* Providing information for DBS and child protection reviews
* Providing information in support of Freedom of Information requests
* Providing information in support of Subject Access Requests
* Act as 'champion' for the concept of data quality from conception and throughout record information life cycle until disposal in all dealings with officers and staff

In addition there are some functions that are intrinsic to this role. An employer's duty of care and current legislation allows the Force to establish if a potential applicant could carry them out, either with or without reasonable adjustments. These functions are:

* Working with Disturbing Evidence of Disturbing Circumstances

To assist in ensuring applicants would be able to undertake these functions of the role, a medical assessment via a questionnaire will be undertaken and may subsequently require a consultation with the Occupational Health Support Unit.

Key requirements:

·  An awareness of the Management of Police Information (MoPI).

·  Knowledge of Data Protection policy and legislation

·  Proven research and data retrieval skills

·  Good keyboard skills

·  Good eye for detail

·  Proven emotional and psychological resilience to enable working with graphic and traumatic information on a regular basis

·  Knowledge or awareness of intelligence evaluation

·  Admin Experience, preferably with expeirence dealign with databases
