HOUSING REVIEW OFFICER

CROYDON

MONDAY- FRIDAY 9AM- 5PM

3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (Possibility to be extended)

£18.54 HOURLY RATE

ASAP START

MAIN DUTIES:

·  Managing an individual caseload of homelessness/suitability reviews

·  Investigating cases and issuing decisions in relation to the various homelessness duties associated

·  Ensuring additional internal deadlines are met with regard to the management of the review process, e.g. timely dispatch of file copies; follow up of submissions and Regulation 8 letters and liaison with solicitors in relation to court proceedings.

·  Responding to members enquiries and other correspondence within specified performance timescales

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

·  MUSThave experience of working within a Housing sector, especially in homelessness.

·  Experience in dealing with complex cases

·  A high level of investigative skills to undertake in-depth enquiries into homelessness decisions

·  In depth knowledge of Housing Act 1996 Part VII and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
