HOUSING OFFICER
FELTHAM
MONDAY- FRIDAY 8.45AM- 9PM (36 HRS)
6 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)
£17.28 HOURLY RATE
IMMEDIATE START
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To be responsible for the delivery of a service in one of three specialist areas namely either RH and Anti-Social Behaviour, Rents and General Tenancy Management or Estate Monitoring.
MAIN DUTIES:
· To be responsible for investigating and monitoring all cases of Domestic Violence, RH and ASB within the Area
· To keep detailed case notes on all cases, and ensure that all case files are regularly updated
· To liaise with internal and external service providers in order to investigate cases, and to ensure the necessary support and assistance is given to deal with casework
· To provide support and advice to tenants and residents and develop and establish effective support mechanisms for complainants experiencing Anti-social behaviour, Domestic violence and Racial Harassment.
· To deal with all correspondence, complaints, petitions and MPs or member enquiries
· To be responsible for Rent Arrears collection including the recovery of current and former tenant arrears within a given area
· To ensure that tenants are aware of relevant benefits and are aware of the services of Debt Counselling and money advise.
· To carry out Tenancy checks and make provision for vulnerable tenants
· To deal with any tenancy matters relating to Sheltered Units and attend surgeries at the units
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
· Previous Housing officer experience
· Knowledge in rents collection
· Knowledge in tenancy management
· Anti-social behaviour management
