HOUSING ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANT

CROYDON

MONDAY- FRIDAY 9AM- 5PM

3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)

£13.27 HOURLY RATE

IMMEDIATE START

The Private Sector Housing Team is recruiting a Housing Enforcement Assistant to support the team with this work

MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

·  taking enquiries from tenants

·  inputting new service requests on the database

·  signposting and advising clients

·  Researching the background to rented properties

·  Assisting enforcement officers with their work and proactive visits.

·  In addition, there will be work needed with the new consultation exercise. It will include making bookings, speaking with landlords, collating information and helping produce advertising documentation.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

·  Strong previous Admin/ Officer experience

·  Enjoys supporting clients, providing advice on services and legislation

·  enthusiastic about researching cases, using IT and supporting the work of the enforcement officers

·  Some understanding of buildings, enforcement options including notices and calculating the cost of work in default or financial penalties will be beneficial.
