This is an exciting opportunity to join our client as a Housing Enforcement Officer in the area of Croydon

Start date: ASAP
Hours: 36 hours Mon to Fri (09:00:AM - 05:00:PM)
Salary: £17.39 PAYE - £22.50 Umbrella

Croydon is a dynamic and popular borough which is an area of high housing demand. We have a high percentage of privately rented properties, many of which are not adequately maintained.

Are you an officer with housing and HHSRS experience, and have skills and experience in a housing related field? Have you the experience of visiting selective licence properties? Are you self-motivated and enthusiastic with a keen desire to improve housing conditions for the people of Croydon? If so, you're just who we need to join our team of dedicated professional officers.

We are looking for a Housing Enforcement Officer who knows about housing disrepair and remedial works through training or experience in a relevant field, and who has an understanding (and qualification) of the housing health and safety rating system and other relevant legislation used in housing enforcement

You will be able to manage your own case load, and customer care skills are essential as you will be dealing with members of the public on a daily basis. As well as practical field work, the role includes data inputting and preparation of letters and survey response emails. Wide IT skills will be an advantage.
