Our client within public sector is looking for a Highways Engineer / Street Works Engineer to join their team based in East London. The role is offered on a 3 months contract basis paying £24/hour umbrella rate working 35 hours per week.

The Engineer will work as part of a team of Officers responsible for upholding Street works Inspection & Compliance duty in accordance with NRSWA 1991 and TMA 2004. The role will primarily involve processing various highway licenses, coordination, permitting and inspection of Street Works and other activities that take place on the highway.

Required Experience and Skills:

·  Experienced Engineer working within a Street Works or Highways background.

·  An effective communicator both written and verbal with ability to take accurate notes

·  Build good working relationships with stakeholders.

·  Must have a valid Driving Licence, a NRSWA Accreditation and be able to provide your own vehicle for business use to undertake site visits/meetings.
