Adecco Finance & Legal is looking for a Junior General Ledger Specialist for our client, an international company.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• Posts journal entries in general accounting, including entries in petty cash book;
• Posts accruals, accrued and deferred, every month-end and year-end;
• Analyses and checks accounting data acquired directly by general ledger or coming from accounts payable;
• Performs double checks and reconciliation on postings needed to build the trial balance ensuring corrected and timeliness of: accruals,GL accounts line item detail and reconciliation with sub-ledgers, payroll posting (liaising with payroll administration), travel agency statements
• Performs general ledger payments;
• Performs intercompany reconciliations, liaising as needed with other local accounting departments of Group's subsidiaries;
• Performs bookkeeping activities in compliance with statutory requirements;
• Elaborates functional reporting needed for P&L and balance sheet preparation;
• Supports external audit checks by supplying the needed information as requested;
• Manages internal inquiries and requests for information cheerfully and expeditiously;
• Other ad hoc activities in the area of general ledger as assigned.

Experience & Education

- Minimum 1 year of total experience in accounting/general ledger acquired both within fairly structured Accounting departments of multinational companies (industrial sector preferred) and as Auditor within the Big Four.
- Experience in financial statements closings.
- High School Accountancy Diploma (Ragioneria) and Bachelor Degree in Economics/Business Administration.

Deep knowledge accounting logics and principles
- Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS) is a must
- SAP knowledge
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Fluency in English and Italian is a must, knowledge of another language is a plus.

PROPOSAL The company will offer a temporary contract, 6 months, gross salary 28k, based Milan.
