Position Description
CGI is seeking a growing Java Developer with 2-5 years of experience to join our team within the Great Lakes business unit headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. We offer an exciting full-time opportunity with the 5th largest IT Services provider in the world that includes a complete benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid vacation, etc.

We are looking for someone who has the ability to travel between Pittsburgh and Claysburg, PA twice a week (overnight accommodations provided in Claysburg by CGI).

The candidate for this position will work with strong, established CGI developers, building customer facing applications across web and mobile (native iOS and Android). The applications include business transformation ideas to improve the customer experience, with the goal of increased sales.

Work location will be mixed between Sheetz onsite in Claysburgh, PA and the CGI office. 2 days a week in Claysburg.

Your future duties and responsibilities
•Reviews design documents and provide feedback on approach and estimates
•Technical prowess in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.
•Ensures that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
•2-5 years’ experience as Java/J2EE developer
•Strong knowledge of the Spring framework (Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Security)
•Good knowledge of UI development (JQuery, JSP, CSS)
•Strong knowledge of ORM tool (Hibernate preferably)
•Strong knowledge of web services (WSDL Soap, Restful)
•Proficient and hands on with Application Servers (WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss)
•Good knowledge of relational database, specifically Oracle (SQL - PL/SQL)
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to interact with all levels of management
Exposure to Service Oriented Architecture
Excellent written and verbal ability to interact with all levels of management
2-5 years of experience with Java

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
